About the Trust

Brian Francis Cretzmeyer was born on June 29, 1979, in Iowa City, Iowa. From a young age, he loved playing the piano and entertained and inspired others with his music throughout his life.

In 2013, the Brian Cretzmeyer Trust for Young Musicians was established as a non-profit 501(c)(3). The Trust is dedicated to providing access to quality music instruction for children - especially those who might not otherwise have the opportunity.

The primary funding source for the Brian Cretzmeyer Trust for Young Musicians is BrianFest, an annual celebration of music, held in Iowa City, featuring various local bands and musicians.
